U2 30 Day Challenge: Day 6-Favorite baby U2 picture(pre-Joshua Tree)
“February 24th, 1979 Hot Press supported the band; they came to see them all the time and provided a lot of positive press coverage. U2’s first interview for the magazine was done in Glasnevin - at The Willows on Finglas Road - on a dreary Saturday afternoon. In the foreground is the late Bill Graham, conducting the interview. Clive, Guggi and Strongman rented this house - there were a lot of parties there. It was also used to store equipment, and the Shalom Bible Group met here as well. Bit of a strange mix. These photos were never used, but the interview appeared the following week. Left to right: Dik (the Prune) Evans, Gavin Friday, Guggi, the Edge, Adam Clayton and Bill Graham.”
“February 12th, 1979 Bono and Guggi are standing in front of a Robert Ballagh painting that hung in the ground floor of the Arts Block (in Trinity College Dublin) until recently. That’s Guggi pretending to relieve himself, and Bono is … taking liberties with the lady”
